The Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros (SCVS)
is an Ecuadorian public entity responsible for supervising and regulating companies, securities, and insurance in the country. It was created in 1994. The SCVS’s main objective is to protect the interests of investors, insured individuals, and the general public, ensuring transparency and integrity in the securities and insurance market in Ecuador. To achieve this, the SCVS supervises and regulates the activities of companies, investment funds, insurance entities, and other market participants, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
