One cannot speak of the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Costa Rica without first referring to the magnificent precedent set by the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad de Costa Rica in early 1943. Since then, this academic institution has had “administration and accounting” as one of its most important specializations. Founded in 1943, the current Escuela de Administración de Negocios de la Universidad de Costa Rica is probably one of the oldest in Latin America.
