From May 20 to 24, the directors of the Group of Latin American Accounting Standard Setters (GLASS) participated virtually in the prestigious “International Public Accounting Month” event in Costa Rica. This gathering brought together leaders and specialists in public accounting from around the world, providing a space for knowledge exchange and discussion on innovations and challenges in the field.
During the event, GLASS directors contributed presentations and discussions highlighting the importance of harmonizing international accounting standards in Latin America. Sessions addressed crucial topics such as transparency, governance, and the evolution of accounting practices in response to new economic and technological demands.
GLASS presence at the event reaffirms our commitment to promoting accounting excellence and regional integration. We thank the organizers, especially the Colegio de Contadores Públicos de Costa Rica, and all participants for their enriching discussions. We are confident that the connections made and the knowledge gained will further strengthen our future initiatives.
