From September 25th to 27th, representing GLENIF, Hernán Casinelli, Director of GLENIF for FACPCE (Federación Argentina de Consejos Profesionales de Ciencias Económicas), and Bill Biese, advisor to GLENIF from CINIF (Consejo de Normas de Información Financiera, A.C.), are attending the World Standard-Setters (WSS) Conference in London.
In the context of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the International Accounting Standards Committee (Iasc), the predecessor to the International Accounting Standards Board (Iasb), more than 70 standard-setters have gathered for updates and discussions on projects on the IASB’s agenda.
On the first day, updates were presented by Iasb board members, the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and technical personnel from both boards. Additionally, updates were provided on the major projects in development in both accounting and sustainability matters.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in interactive question and answer sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities among standard-setters, technical staff, and members of the IFRS Foundation.
