THE PRESIDENT OF GLASS JOINED THE MEETING OF THE FACPCE GOVERNING BOARD

June 28, 2024, was a day of great importance for the Group of Latin American Accounting Standards Setters (GLASS) and the accounting community of Latin America. During the Governing Board meeting of the Federación Argentina de Consejos Profesionales de Ciencias Económicas (FACPCE), held at the entity’s headquarters, the president of GLASS, José Luiz Ribeiro de Carvalho, participated in the meeting and provided a detailed review of the activities that the institution has been carrying out.

The meeting was attended by important members of the board of directors of the Federación Argentina de Consejos Profesionales de Ciencias Económicas (FACPCE), including Norberto Oscar Barbieri (1st Vice President), Ada Valeria Salinas (2nd Vice President), Oscar Fernández (Secretary), Julio Tomás Ramírez (Treasurer), Carlos Edgardo Corrales (Deputy Secretary), and Enriqueta María Dolores Escrihuela Caravaca (Deputy Treasurer). The participation of these leaders reinforces the importance of cooperation and continuous dialogue between accounting entities in the region.

During the meeting, José Luiz Ribeiro de Carvalho highlighted the ongoing initiatives and projects at GLASS, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to promoting the harmonization of financial information standards in Latin America. The exchange of experiences and the discussion of crucial issues for the accounting profession were high points of the meeting, evidencing the relevance of joint and coordinated action.

GLASS, with the support of the Conselho Federal de Contabilidade (CFC), continues to play a fundamental role in representing and defending the interests of accounting professionals.
